AT&T Hollister Facility
Houston, TX
AT&T's Hollister facility is a seven-story, 102,5000 sf office building that functions as a telephone support center. AT&T completed the conversion of their existing, rooftop plant to a new, fully redundant water-cooled central plant on the ground floor of the adjacent four-level parking structure.
The design consists of two (2) 280-ton, water-cooled screw chillers with redundant chilled water and condenser water pumps, and three (3) individual cooling towers located on the top level of the parking garage. Close coordination with the parking structure was required for installation of the chilled water and condenser water piping, pumps, and water-cooled chillers.
In addition, the project scope included an energy analysis to determine the feasibility of implementing thermal storage for the facility. The Beck Group, McDonald Electric, and Tejas Mechanical constructed the project; ATI provided MEP design, and Gensler provided architectural services.
