AT&T Weslayan Facility
Houston, Texas

ATI provided an economic analysis to determine the most cost-effective solution to reduce energy consumption at AT&T’s Weslayan facility, a 12-story office/distribution building located in Houston, Texas. AT&T’s goal was to reduce its energy usage in the facility by 15%.

The project scope included the creation of a simulated computer energy model calibrated within two-percent of actual energy costs, and comparison of potential Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs) to meet the energy reduction goal. The approved ECMs resulted in an 18% reduction, and included the replacement of the 1,800 ton central plant, lighting control upgrades, new fan/pump variable speed drives and controls, and conversion to DDC.

ATI is currently implementing a measurement and verification plan to secure incentive funding under CenterPoint’s Commercial and Industrial Standard Offer Program.
