Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), headquartered in Mumbai (Bombay), India, is India’s largest private industry. In partnership with Landmark Graphics (A Halliburton Company), ATI-CM, Inc. started design and construction for two (2) immersive environments to aid in new territory oil and gas exploration. The rooms total 250 m2 (2,700 ft2) and are installed in RIL’s new Petroleum Headquarters Building.
Each room is fed by UPS power and two (2) independent 24/7 HVAC systems, each consisting of a four-stage filtration and ionization system. The smaller of the two rooms is a working interpretation room; a single-curved, front projection, active stereo system allows RIL’s geophysicists to collaborate on active exploration. The larger room is a showcase for RIL’s technology and standards, and serves as a showpiece for all visiting dignitaries, clients, and investors.
