Congregation Emanu El
Houston, Texas
Congregation Emanu El was designed in 1945 in the style of Frank Lloyd Wright by congregant Lenard Gabert and MacKie & Kamrath Architects. The original 65K-sf facility consists of an 855-seat sanctuary and social hall that accommodates 1,800 people. Throughout the next 50 years, The Temple added the Freda & Jackie Proler Chapel, Robert I. Kahn Gallery, and the two-story Herzstein Religious Education Center.
Congregation Emanu El commissioned ATI to provide an MEP due-diligence study for the improvement of several building systems, including a new campus-wide, addressable fire alarm (FA) system, central plant upgrades, and equipment replacements.
For these projects, ATI provided construction drawings specifying the replacement of the chilled water pumps, VFDs, fluid coolers, temperature control systems, and new FA systems. Services include the creation of an annual HVAC maintenance program, service contract negotiation, and construction management.
