Randalls/Tom Thumb is a foodstore chain serving the Houston, Dallas, and Austin areas. Owned and operated by the Safeway Corporation, Randalls/Tom Thumb is constantly upgrading their foodstore appearances and efficiencies to stay ahead of their competition.
As the primary Architect for all Texas Randalls/Tom Thumb foodstores, Heights Venture Architects has commissioned ATI to design the HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems for over 100 Randalls/Tom Thumb stores within the state of Texas. Project types include new construction and remodels, air-conditioning retrofits, feasibility studies, and MEP peer reviews.
Custom, dual-path, air-handling units treat outside air and return air separately; a requirement for hot, humid Texas climates. Randalls/Tom Thumb incorporates multiple lighting types and control methods, energy management systems, and energy-efficient refrigeration systems in their new foodstore designs.
