AT&T Parkwest Internet Services
Houston, Texas

In 2004, AT&T’s Internet Services division expanded its operations into the Houston Parkwest facility. By spring of 2005, a major upgrade of the data center was required for further expansion of Internet Services, including a new 5000 A DC power plant, new power distribution and back-up systems, and 150 tons of additional air-conditioning

The design includes new 24-hr cooling equipment and air-distribution, pre-action sprinkler systems, extensive dual-power distribution, lighting system design, and grounding modifications in the data center and DC power plant. Modifications to the buildings UPS systems were necessary to achieve Internet Services’ current and future power needs.

Internet Services occupied the data center in February of 2006.
